Pros thumbs-up

Compared with other EMR systems I've worked with athenaOne made day-to-day clinical tasks feel much more organized and efficient. The interface was simple to use, scheduling appointments and managing patients felt well structured and the platform improved communication and overall workflow across the practice. I also really valued how accessible and responsive important patient information was throughout the system.

Cons thumbs-up

A few workflows and customization features may take extra training or some adjustment depending on the practice's specific needs. From time to time, updates or process changes introduced a bit of a learning curve for staff adapting to new ways of working.

Pros thumbs-up

Being able to message my care team so quickly whenever I have a question or need to ask for an appointment has been really convenient.

Cons thumbs-up

There have been quite a few bugs and glitches especially over the past year and I really hope those issues get fixed.

Pros thumbs-up

After a few months it has noticeably improved the way I run my practice. The automated billing has been one of the biggest benefits because it saves me a lot of time. I do not have to worry as much about small billing details or spend energy following up on payments anymore. The system takes care of that reliably which lets me spend more time focusing on patients instead of getting stuck in paperwork. I have also been really happy with the claims management feature. It keeps everything organized, helps cut down on mistakes and the regular updates are reassuring because I always know where things stand.

Cons thumbs-up

Whenever I had a question or needed assistance the response time felt slower than I expected and that added unnecessary stress. Even though athenaOne works well overall and I value what the platform can do, I really wish the support team matched the quality and pace of the software itself.

Pros thumbs-up

There's a lot of flexibility to tailor it to specific needs which is a big plus. The macros are really helpful for handling repetitive tasks and the template creation tools work very well.

Cons thumbs-up

It comes with strong features but some of them are complicated to set up especially things like coding templates. The system also feels very rigid and being limited to one task at a time makes the workflow slower and more time-consuming.

Pros thumbs-up

Having everything in one system really helps with daily practice management. athenaOne does a solid job combining scheduling, patient information and workflow tools into a single platform. The appointment scheduling and reminder features are particularly useful and it keeps things organized without needing to jump between different systems.

Cons thumbs-up

There is definitely a learning curve at the beginning and the pricing can feel a little steep for smaller practices. Support response times can also be slower than expected from time to time.

Pros thumbs-up

Athena included pretty much everything you'd need in one platform. It wasn't a stripped-down version either since you could handle all the necessary tasks from the same software.

Cons thumbs-up

The part that didn't work well was how much Athena outsourced. Billing, in particular, was handled externally and getting answers or support for anything related to it was a nightmare.

Pros thumbs-up

Athena One has been consistently dependable when it comes to appointment reminders and keeping me on track with the scheduling I need to handle through the interface. I haven't run into any bugs or technical issues at all. It feels like the best value for the price especially with its strong security features and 24/7 customer support.

Cons thumbs-up

My only frustration is not finding Athena One sooner after spending so much time with other appointment management tools that offered little to no security for my information.

Pros thumbs-up

Being able to book appointments and communicate with my doctor through athenaOne has been really convenient. The platform is accessible and makes it simple to handle both without much hassle.

Cons thumbs-up

One issue I run into quite often is that the app doesn't always show many available appointment times. When I call the office directly, I usually get access to more scheduling options.

Pros thumbs-up

Getting around Athena is fairly simple and it keeps all my medical records and appointments in one place. The chat feature for messaging providers is especially helpful and makes communication a lot more convenient.

Cons thumbs-up

The biggest downside is how outdated it feels. The whole app and website seem like they really need a refresh and I still don't like that there's no way for other providers to get access.

Pros thumbs-up

Having everything built into one platform is a huge benefit for a busy practice. It saves a lot of time compared with needing to sign in to multiple different systems throughout the day.

Cons thumbs-up

There have been occasions when it was difficult to get through to customer support but once I connected with them, they were extremely helpful.
