Pros ![]()
Keeping track of the daily schedule is easy, booking appointments is simple and the notes can be templated exactly how you want them organized.
Cons ![]()
Getting strong reporting and financial metrics has been challenging and setting specific user access permissions is also difficult.
Pros ![]()
Right from the start, it adapted well to my chiropractic business and was customizable enough to fit how I work. It was also free in the beginning which made it even better before it later moved to a paid model.
Cons ![]()
Since it wasn't built specifically for chiropractic use, it came with a lot of extra features I didn't really need. It wasn't a major problem but there was definitely more included than my practice required.
Pros ![]()
It's patient management stood out to me! Everything I need to see a patient, document the visit and handle medications is built into one fully integrated system which makes the whole workflow feel connected and practical.
Cons ![]()
The part that frustrates me most is the automatic posting of ERAs. I'd rather review them one by one and post them myself since that's the most efficient way to stay on top of denials.
Pros ![]()
Since we started using this software, it has delivered strong value for the cost. Even as a cloud based application, it feels quite secure. Our team has been able to manage our client base, repayment contracts and reporting much more efficiently.
Cons ![]()
Issue is that it requires a large amount of wifi data. That may be because it is cloud based or possibly because of the volume of data handled across our divided teams.
Pros ![]()
No real advantages stood out.
Cons ![]()
We switched to this tool expecting an enterprise grade EHR but it has been a disappointing experience. Reporting is available but it is neither accessible nor user friendly. Even when a patient is clearly on the schedule, pulling accurate report data often involves extra steps that are not obvious which makes routine KPI tracking inefficient and increases the chance of errors. Billing took almost a full year of back and forth before it became somewhat stable and the system still glitches regularly. CPT codes, diagnoses and other entries can disappear, fail to save or get duplicated. Something that looks correct on the clinical side may appear differently once it reaches billing which creates real risk and adds a lot of cleanup work for staff. Patient statements are another major problem. Instead of being clear and patient friendly, they look more like internal accounting ledgers so staff end up manually recreating statements whenever a patient asks for one. Support is usually polite but resolution tends to be slow and reactive rather than proactive. It is also important to review the contract very carefully because some terms are unusual and unfavorable such as having to continue paying for provider licenses after an associate has already left the practice. Overall, this platform has demanded far more workarounds and staff time than we ever expected.
Pros ![]()
For now this EMR doesn't offer anything worthwhile. We're constantly battling with it instead of saving time or money. If you want an office EMR that actually works well, I'd strongly recommend staying away from this one.
Cons ![]()
The biggest issues are the lack of availability and the unreliability of their tech support. On top of that, they lock you into a full year contract without clearly telling you, then raise the premium without giving you a fair opportunity to transfer your data to another EMR.
Pros ![]()
After using this software for more than 10 years, it's honestly difficult to come up with many positives. If I had to name one, the cost is probably the biggest advantage.
Cons ![]()
Support has been awful. There's no real help, no clear answers and no actual solutions when problems come up. I've also dealt with bugs where entries don't save properly so I have to make changes and save the same item multiple times. On top of that, the software sent calls and texts to 150 of my clients at 2am and there was no explanation or accountability afterward.
Pros ![]()
At first, the pricing was a plus but the functionality has kept getting worse and we've decided to move to a different EMR because of the issues I have mentioned.
Cons ![]()
Management and IT keep rolling out system and policy changes that don't actually fit how the medical field works. They really need input from clinical and administrative professionals when making decisions about functionality. The direction they're taking with these changes is going to drive customers away.
Pros ![]()
When I was getting my practice off the ground, my only prior exposure to DrChrono had been during an internship at another office. The provider there never had especially strong praise or complaints about it so I went ahead and signed up when I opened my own practice. Early on, around 8 years ago, the system had fewer features, the monthly cost was lower and customer service was reasonably decent.
Cons ![]()
Over time, as they kept adding more features that we mostly never even used, the software became increasingly unstable. We ran into ongoing problems with online booking and probably lost $20k or more in revenue because of the constant issues, along with all the time wasted dealing with poor and honestly rude support staff. After roughly 6 months of them supposedly working on the problems, they still started increasing the price every year and locked us into a yearly contract that was over $1500 a month for a small 3provider practice. Platforms like Jane and Chirotouch cost about a third of that and come with far fewer problems. At one stage, we had more than 15 support tickets open because insurance claims were being returned incorrectly, appointments were disappearing from the schedule, the software would go down for hours during regular business hours and there were plenty of other problems on top of that.
Pros ![]()
After spending months on this software, I honestly couldn't come up with anything genuinely positive to say about it. Not a single feature felt dependable or truly helpful to our daily workflow. Any small convenience it might claim to offer is buried under constant interface problems, sluggish performance and poor usability. Even things that are supposed to be advantages like cloud access and mobile functionality, are handled so badly that they become frustrating instead of useful. From beginning to end, using this software felt like a nonstop drain on time and energy. There really weren't any meaningful strengths worth pointing out.
Cons ![]()
From top to bottom, this software has been a frustrating failure. The platform feels outdated, runs painfully slowly and is extremely difficult to navigate. Nothing about it feels accessible and even basic tasks take far too many unnecessary steps. The implementation process stretched on for months without proper direction and the training provided was so ineffective that our staff was left unready to use the system. Customer support only made things worse, with delayed responses and a dismissive attitude when help was needed. On top of that, trying to cancel the contract is incredibly difficult which leaves you stuck paying for a product that doesn't function well. The design, features, service and communication all feel deeply flawed. In the end, this software turned into a costly and exhausting regret.
