Pros thumbs-up

Whenever I complete the claims sections within the program, I find the process simple and simple, allowing me to enter information quickly and without much hassle.

Cons thumbs-up

Trying to link the EZClaim billing software with the Scheduler, Reminder Call and BillFlash Billing modules has been anything but smooth for me and I find the whole setup frustrating because each of these separate programs forces me to sign into the other one whenever I need to verify something, in my view they ought to operate smoothly under a single interface rather than requiring me to jump between distinct websites with different usernames and passwords which creates a needless and time-consuming hassle.

Pros thumbs-up

We have relied on Ezclaim Advanced for many years and found that it functioned very well for our practice and when Advanced was retired we moved up to Ezclaim Premier, the newer application performs electronic billing directly from within the program and can automatically post ERA deposits into the software, a capability that genuinely reduces the time spent on manual data entry. I also like that I can type a client's name to search using the grid features instead of having to scroll through long lists to locate claims and other details which makes navigation quicker and more efficient.

Cons thumbs-up

I discovered that the transition from Ezclaim Advanced to Ezclaim Premier was much more complicated and time-consuming than we had anticipated and new users require substantially more training and hands-on experience to feel confident because the system is considerably more complex. While many components are highly customizable, other parts can be fairly inflexible which has been a challenge at times when particular features didn't match the specific workflows of our practice, locating where everything lives and understanding how to perform certain tasks takes considerably more practice than the simpler Advanced version. We appreciated the simpleness of some Advanced features that seemed unnecessarily convoluted in the new system although with continued use those pain points have diminished as the interface became more familiar. A specific change that created a significant amount of extra work for our office is that copays and payments entered upfront in the Ezclaim Scheduler do not automatically carry over into the claim creation process so the user must return later to allocate those payments to claims because we bill once each month rather than daily or weekly, this added considerable time, confusion and potential for human error as it can be easy to forget to apply a copay or upfront payment under the new workflow.

Pros thumbs-up

In my experience, I've been able to use Ezclaim to generate claims for a variety of practice types, handling billing for both chiropractic and physical therapy without issue and I've also relied on it to submit charges for physician visits, laboratory services and radiology procedures.

Cons thumbs-up

I would like to see additional reporting options added to the system and I also wish there were a facility to retain a primary insurance record after it expires so that inactive policies can still be stored and referenced.
