Pros thumbs-up

Nearly every capability it offers has impressed me. After posting my 2023 review I had the opportunity to collaborate very closely with Netsmart's customer service and various teams and that h ands-on contact really changed my perspective. What I eventually realized was that Gehrimed had recently become part of a completely different company named Netsmart, which, I suspect, many long-time Gehrimed users like myself might not have noticed when the ownership changed h ands. That sort of corporate transition is hardly unusual these days, but once I began engaging with Netsmart in early 2024 I was genuinely taken aback by the level of product support I encountered; from the staff and leadership at Asheville, NC to the teams in Overl and Park and Kansas City, Kansas, the assistance was exceptional across the board. The whole experience felt markedly different , far more polished and friendly , than what I had described in my previous rating. I owe an apology, because my 2023 critique was clearly influenced by a set of concurrent negative factors that clouded my judgment at the time: an insufficient underst anding on my part and limited opportunities for proper training in the finer points of Gehrimed's functionality, which I now recognize contributed heavily to my earlier impressions. Once I took the time to gain clearer insight into how powerful this evolving product really is and how much effort it rewards when a user commits to learning it, I changed my mind substantially. In fairness to the product and to prospective users, my earlier comments had to be revised to reflect what I now see as the true state of Gehrimed in 2024: an actively improving system that is being refined to be more user-friendly and robust for those on the front lines. I've since learned just how capable this application can be when a user invests the time to master it and much like any excellent tool it reaches its full potential only when the person using it does the work to learn it thoroughly. Therefore, as of the start of 2024 I am proud to say that, honestly and without reservation, I would rate Gehrimed five stars in every department.

Cons thumbs-up

At the moment I see this EHR moving in a very positive, evolutionary direction and I personally appreciate the improvements being made; however, I also recognize that it isn't flawless and won't cater to every user's individual tastes, preferences, or unrealistic expectations, so anyone considering it should be aware that it may not satisfy every whim or wish.

Pros thumbs-up

For me, the interface is genuinely user-friendly, with straightforward charting and an intuitive workflow that made documentation feel almost effortless; additionally, being able to fax completed notes directly to the nursing home saved me a noticeable amount of time.

Cons thumbs-up

I ran into resistance from several physicians I contracted with because the software lacks a built-in scheduling module and when I tried to demonstrate the regulatory visit scheduling feature their office manager repeatedly dismissed me; I think your sales reps should be better prepared to showcase how this functionality actually works.

Pros thumbs-up

I've found the system intuitive to operate, with useful integration into the MIPS dashboard and straightforward access to patient education materials; it even sends notes by fax automatically, includes an advanced searchable database and offers what I consider the best ICD-10 code entry I've used, while the built-in text-to-speech performs at a fair to good level and I can opt to use real-person transcription services when needed.

Cons thumbs-up

My experience has been that the product is costly given how little you can tailor it and the e-prescribing feature is particularly awful , clunky to use and incapable of h andling scheduled 2s , while there is no integration with labs or diagnostic systems and the promised facility EHR connectivity they've been promoting for over three years still isn't available. Support has been disappointing: the team seems undertrained, frequently makes errors and prematurely closes support tickets before issues are fully resolved and the clinical templates are poorly designed and slow to work with. On top of that, the scheduling module is the worst I've ever encountered and remains unaddressed despite unanimous user requests for improvement and the Mac integration was pushed out too early, arriving riddled with errors.
