With a large but well-organized configuration menu, several functions can be allowed to add functionality or disabled to simplify the system. When run on suitable hardware, the user interface and server are extremely smooth. As a hosted framework, it can be deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which is incredibly fast and scalable.

Either a difficult or costly third-party application or the use of a separate device is needed for the electronic prescription feature. I tried to use one of the available third-party e-prescribing interfaces, other than that it did not work for me.

A lot of people said that one of the benefits of this software is that it is online. I accept, but just secondary to the fact that it is much more customizable than most EMRs. While some understanding of setup and maintenance is needed, I find our customer support representative and his team to be extremely attentive and skilled.

The first and only possible disadvantage is the need for either information or IT assistance. The collaboration of OpenEMR experts makes this part even better, as previously said.
