Pros thumbs-up

SilkOne is a solid EHR system that covers all the insurance guidelines and offers ease when taking notes with the doctor.

Cons thumbs-up

However, I find data entry and consistency with intake paperwork to be challenging. I primarily receive email support and lack the opportunity to speak to a human on the phone. I'm not utilizing the system to its full capacity due to my limited knowledge of its features.

One feature that we are liking a lot right now is the patient portal function. It has encouraged greater patient participation during their treatment. Our patients are able to engage with our doctors, obtain lab results, view visit summaries, ask for prescription refills, and receive automated appointment reminders.

Cons thumbs-up

It seems to have no big problems for us so far, but the user interface is not as friendly for us even though many of the positive reviews claim that to be a major pro. For some reason, we have had difficulty in performing simple tasks easily such as billing.

My experience has been great with SilkOne. They offer knowledgeable and competent support service. Nothing less than outstanding service from all SilkOne representatives has been provided to me and my entire crew. Ever since I started using this software, it has helped us provide better medical services to our clients.

Cons thumbs-up

Very few issues if I think about it. Although we would prefer more phone interaction, email is the main mode of communication for software companies. When it was necessary, we had great phone communication, which was really welcomed and helpful. So technically this isn't a con either, just a suggestion.

Pros thumbs-up

The patient portal is what I appreciate most about this product. We are able to send a link to new patients so they may complete their online intake form. There is no need for a second entering of data because the intake form's data is automatically filled into the system.

Cons thumbs-up

There is a learning curve, just like with any new software. The interface is not the most user-friendly and requires some getting accustomed to it. Also, the patient statements for billing could be more extensive and use better structuring to make them simpler for the patient.

The simplicity and quickness with which SOAP notes can be created is what I really admire most about this software. I also like that my patients may visit my website, complete forms at home on any computer or tablet, and provide information about their present symptoms and medical history.

Cons thumbs-up

For me , SilkOne has proven to be the best billing and note-taking software I have ever used. But I have a minor complaint. The need to press save for each section is inconvenient. Ideally, this should change so that information is automatically saved as you input it.

Pros thumbs-up

I think it's fairly reasonably priced. I think you can put in new patient exam information quite easily.

Cons thumbs-up

Putting in insurance collections was a bit maddening. It seemed very time consuming and inefficient. Also, when I used it, it didn't seem to be efficient for doing SOAP notes during the appointment. Perhaps that has been improved since I used it.

Pros thumbs-up

The pricing of the software is fairly reasonable, and it allows for easy input of new patient exam information.

Cons thumbs-up

However, inputting insurance collections was time-consuming and inefficient. Additionally, the software did not efficiently support SOAP notes during appointments when I used it, although it may have improved since then.

I am a billing company that works with many different EHR's. SilkOne integrates beautifully with the clearinghouse so uploading claims and downloading ERA's is fast and simple. The ERA's are imported into SilkOne for posting so you don't have to maintain any files. One thing that sets SilkOne apart from any software I have ever used the features within the Accounts Recievables. Not only can you see your outstanding A/R by payor, but you can see exactly what claims are outstanding. This is such a powerful feature for keeping outstanding A/R to a bare minimum and what claims need to be addressed. This can result in an improved cash flow for any doc- I think this feature alone more than pays for the cost of the product! Then you have to consider all of its integrated practice management, EHR and billing components.

Cons thumbs-up

Resubmitting a claim can be cumbersome until you really learn the process

Pros thumbs-up

It's the one I used for years, at the time it was priced very well compared to the other big names for chiropractic EHR.

Cons thumbs-up

It looks old, several things are confusing when using. The online scheduling looked so bad, we used an entirely separate online scheduler that didn't connect to Silk One.
