Pros ![]()
I am really enjoying how simple it is to use as a single provider especially with the built-in virtual assistant. Communication with patients feels clear and it also makes it simple to coordinate with my assistant without extra steps.
Cons ![]()
The messaging could use some refinement when it comes to how it displays on different screen sizes. I also hope it performs better on Safari, particularly on MacBooks.
Pros ![]()
The user interface feels excellent ! clean, simple and pretty simple to navigate. Setup and day-to-day use are smooth and it's well integrated with payment processing. Managing appointments is also easy and doesn't take much effort.
Cons ![]()
Pricing runs high if you're a small practice especially when you only have individual staff or a few employees. A few features don't seem to be fully leveraged for larger group workflows, prescribing and similar needs.
Pros ![]()
Overall it feels like a really solid EMR. The calendar layout makes appointment scheduling simple and the telehealth interface is top-notch. Clients also tend to enjoy the reminders and, in general, don't run into trouble accessing telehealth. On top of that, online payments are handled smoothly and are simple to complete.

The treatment plan update process still needs improvement. Instead of updating directly, you have to open the previous plan and make edits within it. It took me some time to figure out the workflow and it just doesn't feel as organized or clinically helpful as it should be.
Pros ![]()
The software felt simple to use and the whole experience was pretty effortless. If you mainly need the basic functions without extra complexity, it fits really well.
Cons ![]()
For larger or more complex companies it comes across as a bit too basic. If you're looking for advanced features and lots of "bells and whistles," you may find it lacking here.
Pros ![]()
SimplePractice feels like an all-in-one platform where you can build templates for key HIPAA-compliant tasks like charting and appointment management. The interface is simple so setting things up didn't take a lot of effort. I never ran into bugs or glitches so I didn't have to reach out to customer support which made the overall experience seem consistent and solid.
Cons ![]()
Since I'm running a solo private practice, SimplePractice ended up not being the best value for the money.
Pros ![]()
I liked it because it worked really well for me thanks to how user-friendly it is especially for appointment management. Setting up and sending templates felt simple and the intake paperwork got organized in a way that saved time. I also appreciated being able to write and keep notes directly in the system since the whole workflow stayed organized.
Cons ![]()
The price jump ended up being too much for my budget. Even though the platform itself was solid and genuinely pleasant to use, I had to stop using it once the costs increased.
Pros ![]()
It's simple to use and supports multiple users without much hassle. The telehealth features are also solid-glitches and error messages seem minimal so sessions feel more reliable.
Cons ![]()
Cost is pretty steep compared to other options and it doesn't include premium features that would justify the cost.
Pros ![]()
Using SimplePractice has been simple for our team and the real win is how much our clients enjoy the client portal-reporting and navigation feel user-friendly on their end. Document storage has also been a big help especially when it comes to creating and sending our own documents. Once insurance is set up, filing claims is painless and the process of submitting and resubmitting is noticeably simpler than with other platforms we've tried. On top of that, customer support has consistently been available and responsive.
Cons ![]()
The one thing to watch is pricing, it's higher than other comparable EHR options. It currently works well for our practice because we have multiple team members but costs could become a concern if the practice keeps adding more people.
Pros ![]()
It felt simple and really user-friendly for a consumer. I also had confidence that my files are protected since it uses encryption and is HIPAA compliant.
Cons ![]()
Price eventually started to feel a bit high for a solo business. It might make more financial sense for larger companies rather than independent users.
Pros ![]()
Works really well for virtual appointments. The app automatically sends appointment reminders through phone calls, texts and email and they link neatly into the application for video appointments.
Cons ![]()
There isn't a feature that lets clients manage or request new appointment times with practitioners. The phone reminder includes a cancel option but the text and email reminders don't offer the same cancellation capability.
