Pros thumbs-up

Interface looks polished and the navigation is easy. There are plenty of features available if you're open to paying beyond the base subscription and now that they've settled into the new platform, responsiveness has been very solid.

Cons thumbs-up

The pay-per-click model is a downside and there's a noticeable push toward AI integration. The scheduling section can be awkward to navigate and reporting still needs Excel or other software if you want to customize it properly. It's also frustrating that specialist referrals can't be sent through secure mail unless you use an SMS token.

Pros thumbs-up

The software itself is good but the customer service right now has been extremely poor and disappointing.

Cons thumbs-up

While the software is good, the support has become really terrible lately. We've been dealing with software issues for weeks and still haven't received any reply from them to our emails or messages. I run three other clinics as well and because of the lack of customer service, I'm seriously considering moving away from this software.

Pros thumbs-up

Honestly, the only part I'm looking forward to is when my contract is over and I no longer have to keep paying for it. If I were running a company and customers were having this kind of experience, I'd be doing everything I could to fix the problems. And if I truly believed in the product, I wouldn't trap people into staying with it. That's not how Tab32 operates.

Cons thumbs-up

There's a lot wrong with Tab32 but the biggest issue for me was the x-rays. The image quality was extremely poor and the way everything was organized was so bad that the x-rays felt basically undiagnostic. The constant weekly updates only make it feel like customers are acting as beta testers. This product really seems like it was released before it was actually ready to be used.

Pros thumbs-up

The connection with the front office worked well for things like claims and similar tasks but the x-ray quality was terrible.

Cons thumbs-up

Getting around the software ended up being one of its biggest weaknesses. It took far too many clicks to reach the areas I needed and that made everything feel inefficient. The x-rays were also very low quality. Whenever support was needed, it often took hours to get help. Switching from one patient to another was frustrating as well. We used it consistently for three months to really give it a fair shot but we just could not get it to work for us. The front office team was okay with it but the back office staff completely disliked it.

Pros thumbs-up

There's really nothing positive I can point to here. It feels very difficult to use and I can't say I found anything worthwhile in it.

Cons thumbs-up

The software is not user friendly at all and the clinical applications are especially difficult to work with.

Pros thumbs-up

One thing I really appreciate is how often they keep enhancing the platform. It's the only software I've used that truly has everything built in: patient communication, charting, radiographs, online booking and a lot more!

Cons thumbs-up

With all the updates and changes, bugs do show up from time to time. They usually fix the major issues pretty fast but the smaller glitches can sometimes take a bit longer to get addressed.

Pros thumbs-up

Across our office, it handles just about every workflow we need. We can text patients and submit dental claims for procedures the moment a patient checks out, all without leaving the software. It covers online booking, two-way patient texting, cloud-based X-ray software, patient education, charting, treatment planning and claim management. This software has been an excellent option for helping our team stay organized, run the office efficiently and care for patients well.

Cons thumbs-up

There are only a limited number of third-party integrations but with how many features it already includes, that really hasn't been necessary for us.

Pros thumbs-up

Everything is in one place which makes it amazing to use!! The system feels very accessible, works well even on low data speeds and the customer service team is outstanding and always ready to help.

Cons thumbs-up

Integrated Stripe payment system costs more than standard processing fees, even though I use a separate payment terminal through my bank. It also takes some training for team members, plus a bit of unlearning to move away from older systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix.

Pros thumbs-up

Having everything centralized in one system is a huge plus and being able to log in remotely makes it even more useful. The software feels accessible while still offering a lot of functionality. It's also really helpful to have a simple way to communicate with patients.

Cons thumbs-up

A few parts of the system feel more disorganized than they need to be. It would make sense to borrow from other EHRs that already handle certain workflows well. Chart notes, for example, are not organized well at all and could benefit from an approach more like Open Dental. Billing also isn't very easy. Reports are simple enough to run but there's no way to compare data which is a big limitation. It would be very helpful to compare monthly production by date of service and monthly collections by date of service. Also, having a report option that focuses on when a date of service was entered doesn't seem especially useful. It really feels like more dentists and billing professionals should be involved in shaping these updates and improvements. Another important gap is the lack of a phone app, at least for doctors. A patient texted me yesterday and I couldn't reply until late that night. She messaged me again at 7 in the morning but I didn't see it until 9 that evening and that kind of delay is frustrating for patients. On days when I'm out of the office, getting to a computer isn't always realistic. Since patients expect faster replies when they send a text, a mobile app would make a big difference. And honestly, that kind of app shouldn't come with an extra charge.

Pros thumbs-up

Being cloud based has been a big advantage for us! We don't need to rely on an IT company to keep things running, the uptime has been excellent and customer service has been outstanding. It's also reassuring that I can get a response from their customer support when needed.

Cons thumbs-up

There is definitely a trade-off with cloud software since it can have fewer advanced features than server-based options. That said, there are ways to work around those limits and the overall benefits are still substantial.
