Pros ![]()
The platform is straightforward to use, and in my experience a physician typically calls me back within an hour; I consider this to be an excellent option for straightforward questions and for obtaining prescription refills while traveling, as every clinician I've spoken with has been exceptionally friendly and helpful, and I would strongly recommend Teladoc.
Cons ![]()
Over the past year I've relied on Teladoc on four different occasions, and every single time it has been simple to navigate and to arrange a consultation with a doctor, who consistently calls in under an hour, making the whole experience efficient and reliable for my needs.
Pros ![]()
I find Teladoc Health straightforward and readily available for every member of our staff to access, providing a variety of appointment times to select from, which ultimately spares the need to travel for in-person visits.
Cons ![]()
However, I've noticed that the quality of care varies significantly by provider and that recordkeeping is poor; we've had staff tell me the service was unhelpful or that they received incorrect diagnoses.
Pros ![]()
Regrettably, there was nothing positive to report; I had been hopeful about obtaining a timely, legitimate medical opinion online, yet that expectation was not met.
Cons ![]()
The physician inexplicably closed my case prematurely , a fact Teladoc Health later acknowledged , and despite spending roughly one and a half hours across three separate customer service calls I never received any meaningful resolution, leaving me out $89 and without a diagnosis.
Pros ![]()
Scheduling an appointment is effortless, and I find their process straightforward so I can book one the same day
Cons ![]()
I cannot connect with anyone when I need help; they respond after five days, so God forbid you need something urgently
Pros ![]()
I've found that, when I'm actually able to reach a provider, they have been very competent and helpful so far across both medical and mental health appointments.
Cons ![]()
My experience with the Teladoc platform and customer support has been awful; every time something goes wrong they point fingers at the clinician for what appears to be internal technical issues, and as a result I feel like I'm constantly being given the runaround.
Pros ![]()
I find the platform extremely easy to use, since I can access a doctor 24/7 and appreciate the fast response times, while the patient management features let me create and maintain my profile efficiently.
Cons ![]()
From my experience, the physician consistently failed to hear my concerns, and I feel they are unfit to provide care to anyone.
Pros ![]()
I really appreciate that Teladoc presents a visually appealing, easy-to-navigate website which immediately reassures me that they can provide the help I'm seeking.
Cons ![]()
Frankly, this service feels like a scam, because I've gone through several appointments attempting to obtain very low-level medications and, most recently, sought treatment for high blood pressure; despite having multiple home blood-pressure monitors and a continuous eight-year record of readings stored on my phone, the physician informed me that she could not prescribe medication on Teladoc for an initial visit. The entire exchange lasted under two minutes, and when I requested a refund they declined, citing a policy that allegedly guarantees nothing about receiving prescriptions, which left me frustrated and out of pocket.
Pros ![]()
Having found it convenient in the past, I now consider the software (whether accessed via the website or the mobile app) to be essentially useless, as it no longer serves the purpose it once did.
Cons ![]()
I experience both the website and the mobile application failing to function properly, and overall their performance is extremely sluggish.
Pros ![]()
Nothing whatsoever. I had been looking forward to the supposed convenience, but the platform continually failed, then after wasting 45 minutes with customer support I walked away with no resolution and my money gone!!!!
Cons ![]()
Took me an hour to secure an appointment because their booking system kept failing, and I spent 45 minutes on the phone with a representative; when I finally consulted with a physician she seemed completely uninformed, insisting that amoxicillin isn't appropriate for bite-related cellulitis despite having been prescribed and used it twice by legitimate doctors, so ultimately they did nothing!
Pros ![]()
While I do value the ease of being able to consult with a doctor remotely, in my experience those clinicians are tightly constrained by TeleDoc's protocols and disclaimers, which largely neuters their practical usefulness for anything beyond triage or reassurance. It does provide a convenient supplemental income stream that I can manage even when I'm on call, and as an added perk it lets employers honestly tick a box and claim they provide complimentary healthcare to staff.
Cons ![]()
In my view they mainly exist to have a conversation and offer general guidance that rarely solves anything substantive, because a simple Google search often yields the very same basic information I get from them.
