Back in 2014 I began using Theramanager and everything ran smoothly until Russ sold his business and the product was rebr anded as DocuTrac, which changed the whole dynamic.

They informed me in 2023 that changes were coming and that I had until May 2024 to make a decision, stressing that if I agreed to stay right away the transfer fee would be lower than if I waited, which put me in a tight spot; on top of that the new company's pricing was going to be substantially higher, almost twice what I had been paying for Theramanager alone, so I told them during that conversation that I would be looking for another vendor because of cost and that I would decide before May. As I shopped around I actually found numerous alternatives that charged less than my old Theramanager rate while offering more features, but the moment I notified them of where I planned to move and asked them to start the transfer process, communication and action stopped entirely. I'm still getting billed for their software because they refused to accept a verbal decommission , something I was never warned about , even though I had signed the official decommissioning paperwork and I received no assistance or client data to facilitate the migration to my new provider. Since then I've tried to negotiate and resolve the situation with them, but my emails have gone unanswered, which has left me stuck in limbo and frustrated.
Pros ![]()
Overall the product feels very straightforward and highly efficient and I find that accomplishing tasks with it is fast and intuitive; the tutorials that are available are genuinely useful and easy to follow and what I appreciate most about the software is the people behind it , from the sales team to customer service and tech support , who consistently make the whole experience smoother.
Cons ![]()
Honestly, there is virtually nothing I can point to as a real drawback and I struggle to find anything I dislike about it, which says a lot about how well the product and its support teams function together.
Pros ![]()
I find it extremely intuitive to navigate and correcting mistakes is straightforward; plus it offers a wide range of reports that I can easily filter to surface the precise data I need.
Cons ![]()
To be honest, I sometimes struggle to locate specific features because the program has so many capabilities and figuring out the exact steps to accomplish certain tasks can be a little frustrating.
Pros ![]()
I've found the interface very straightforward to navigate, it's simple to tailor to our workflows and the team keeps the system up to date promptly whenever documentation requirements evolve; their staff are consistently friendly and helpful and technical support demonstrates deep knowledge and responds quickly.
Cons ![]()
Occasionally I discover valuable features only after reaching out to support, because they aren't immediately obvious within the interface.
Pros ![]()
As a team, we've been able to consolidate client appointments, insurance details, payment records and case notes into a single place, which makes managing client information much simpler and more efficient for our practice.
Cons ![]()
I'd love for the calendar to offer two-way synchronization with Google Calendar, because right now it's frustrating how difficult it is to view and navigate the schedule on mobile devices such as iPads or iPhones, which hampers my ability to manage appointments on the go.
Pros ![]()
What I really appreciate about TheraManager is how comprehensive it feels, particularly because I can access everything via the cloud and getting user accounts up and running plus showing my team how to use the system has been surprisingly straightforward.
Cons ![]()
I often run into situations where it's not immediately obvious how to troubleshoot an issue and I'd prefer the support notes to be more forgiving by matching search terms with partial phrases rather than dem anding an exact match to the wording.
Pros ![]()
In my experience, the platform's caseload organization, thorough documentation tools, scheduling module and billing capabilities, combined with the integrated Trizetto functionality and the merchant services provided via Office Therapy, act as genuine, rock-star quality time savers, delivering tremendous operational support that often eliminates the need to bring on extra human personnel.
Cons ![]()
My biggest annoyance is having to laboriously enter appointment times manually and click through the calendar multiple times, rather than simply tapping an arrow on the open calendar view to advance to the next day, which makes scheduling feel unnecessarily slow and cumbersome.
Pros ![]()
I've always appreciated how the team responds immediately and takes proactive steps to troubleshoot and actually "fix" problems; the software itself is clean, powerful and very user-friendly, offering an intuitive experience and ever since I started using TheraManager more than ten years ago my day-to-day operations and life have become exponentially simpler.
Cons ![]()
For me there are no real drawbacks , everything about it works well and suits my needs, so I can't find any cons to report.
Pros ![]()
I find the workflow intuitive and efficient and the way it links patient account records with medication management makes daily tasks noticeably simpler and quicker to h andle.
Cons ![]()
On some screens there are minor details that could use improvement and if I took the time to report them to Docutrac they'd actually make changes, which they've done several times already and always seemed very grateful.
Pros ![]()
As a clinician, I've found the clinical record to be outst anding in virtually every respect and the tools for writing and logging prescriptions are exceptionally fast and simple to review, which in turn makes reaching medication decisions much more efficient; on top of that, the sales and support teams have been consistently helpful, the YouTube tutorials are very clear and useful and the program is immediately usable out of the box while also offering extensive customization options if you want to tailor it.
Cons ![]()
I'd like to see the medication list, individual dosing and treatment progress displayed together in a visual, graphical format down the line so I can track dose changes and outcomes more intuitively.
