Pros thumbs-up

I haven't come across a single advantage, this platform has only served to make my workdays both more difficult and significantly longer than before.

Cons thumbs-up

After 35 years in practice, I've never come acrossa worse EMR, patient notes disappear every day, medication lists fail to reconcile in the chart and nearly no information was transferred from our previous system. Over the past three months I've been working around the clock during nights and weekends because of this nightmare of a product, trying to fix problems that should never exist. There isn't a single feature that operates smoothly, much of the functionality is redundant and overall it has made my workload unbearable.

Pros thumbs-up

From my experience, the system stayed operational when competing EHRs would often crash

Cons thumbs-up

I find it poor for writing clinical notes since there are no templates and the medication workflows aren't simple

Pros thumbs-up

Because our organization can set up caseloads and manage teams inside the system, I find it much easier for staff to locate clients, jot down notes, complete required paperwork and maintain a reasonably comprehensive view of each client's record which helps manage day-to-day workflow and client follow-up.

Cons thumbs-up

Where do I even start with the problems we've faced: the reporting framework in Welligent is essentially prebuilt and inflexible so my team and I had to depend on external Crystal Reports to properly monitor our claims and revenue which added time and complexity to basic financial oversight. In our experience, both Welligent and their clearinghouse partner, Change Healthcare, provide extremely poor platform support and training on critical areas like billing and prescribing was so inadequate that it felt almost non-existent. Even more worrying are the interfacing failures between Change Healthcare and Welligent which I consider to be serious liabilities, for instance, when I look at medications via that interface while more than one client record is open, the medication list will sometimes show the name of one client but display the medications belonging to another, creating an immediate safety risk. There are dozens of issues we've ticketed to Welligent that remain unresolved so we've had to invent manual workaround processes with our medical staff to protect clients and it took months before Welligent was able to locate our 835s and 837s. My fiscal team has resorted to preparing EOBs and claim remittances by hand because the system can't produce the necessary outputs and we've also come acrossproblems with locations of service and the diagnostic crosswalk from our old platform which forced us into 70-90 hour work weeks to clean up migration errors. To top it off, obtaining proper, competent training on the prescribing components is essentially impossible, leaving us exposed and frustrated.

Pros thumbs-up

From my experience, Welligent comes across as a very comprehensive platform that lets me handle a wide array of clinical and qualitative documentation needs all within one system so I don't have to juggle multiple tools.

Cons thumbs-up

That said, I've run into persistent issues where their customer support tends to recommend elaborate, labor-intensive workarounds instead of simpler fixes and the software itself never seemed to excel at any single function,it felt like a jack-of-all-trades but master of none. Many of the tasks are unsimple and strictly sequence-based which means it's easy to take one wrong step in a workflow and then I or my team end up facing errors that force us to start over as a result, my less tech-savvy staff would often spend an excessive amount of time just trying to complete basic actions and because those are high-volume tasks this ultimately inflated our documentation labor costs significantly.

Pros thumbs-up

Honestly there's not much to praise, I appreciate it only when I'm not forced to use it or on the rare occasion that it actually performs the task it's supposed to which sadly doesn't happen often.

Cons thumbs-up

I found the program to be riddled with bugs and limited by its dependence on Internet Explorer , a browser that's no longer supported , which led to calculation inaccuracies and relentless upkeep so when our district rolled it out the whole process turned into an absolute disaster rather than the smooth transition we were promised.

Pros thumbs-up

One feature I did appreciate was the alert that notifies you when someone is in the waiting room and beyond that I really can't list many other positives, in fact, the negative effect the software had on our operations was a major factor that led me to leave the job because it was harming the company.

Cons thumbs-up

Honestly I found it painfully slow and unstable , it would crash constantly , and the whole system felt outdated, almost like something from the pager era, we used to joke among the team that the software took a siesta every afternoon because it predictably crashed at the same time each day.
