For me, the fact that its rehab-focused is a major benefit because its straightforward to use and helps accelerate documentation; I also depend on Tina and Virginia for support and the softwares compatibility with Epic has been useful.

I wasnt aware of certain capabilities that MediLinks offers but this product lacks and Ive run into noticeable slowness and numerous go-live issues, especially with authorizations that dont interface into Epic.

WellSky'e main strength is its compliance capabilities. They help us conduct team studies and comply with the CMS regulations which is beyond amazing for us. We used it to monitor all sorts of activities going on in our clinic which not only includes the medical side, but the admin side as well. WellSky has enabled us to control access and apply a layer of authorizations over almost everything. This has prevented any sort of mishaps of miscommunications since only the authorized personnel are allowed access to sensitive areas.
Cons
We are still using the older version since everyone is comfortable with it and it generally fulfills all of our requirements. However, I wish it was a bit more intuitive to figure out things on our own. I have heard the newer web version is greatly streamlined, but implementing that would mean months of hard work would be wasted. The process is overly complicated for no real reason and the costs involved would only go up from here.

I love that this software is cloud-based, which makes it a perfect companion for home visits that we started after the pandemic started. It is very flexible and allows me to set the schedule of our entire practice with high accuracy. My workflow has become more efficient, and we have been able to provide the finest patient care possible. The patients themselves are more involved in the overall process, and they love it. I was sold as soon as I tried out the demo version.
Cons
They had promised reports that are solely driven by the data that our practice has. This made me think of it as customizable since every practice's data is unique. However, this is not the case. The reports are very restrictive and almost resist any modification that I try to make. Others in my practice don’t mind working with the pre-built reports, but it just won’t cut it for me. I'd love to have a set of customizable reports that work for me rather than the other way around.

We happen to be one of the oldest clients of WellSky and have seen this software in its beta phase. It’s safe to say that they have improved considerably over the years. The documentation now has a far cleaner appearance, and the support team has also improved. The team is extremely attentive to details and always works hard to solve our problems. All Medicare and other regulatory compliance issues are addressed, and our paperwork is as complete as it can be. Everything is conveniently located for easy access, which we love most.

The software still has to improve a lot in terms of flexibility. They have made it very restrictive in some places. making it impossible to change or erase billing codes after a note has been signed. Custom versions are basically nonexistent now, and we are still adjusting to a more standardized version. The billing review screen is unclear, and as an administrator, I would like to be able to chart and examine my staff's schedules as they see them, adjust billing as appropriate, and annotate.

I found their sales presentation extremely persuasive and they offered me several impressive assurances that sounded very promising.

For me, the billing clearinghouse module,specifically the component referred to as Citrix,was problematic and caused concerns.

Working with the platform, I've found that I can save templates for reuse, it's straightforward to schedule patients and retrieving patient information is quick and intuitive so I can see key details without wasting time.

I struggle with the OASIS start-of-care section because it's really difficult to navigate, the system doesn't auto-save my notes which means I risk losing work and in general moving around the interface feels clunky and confusing.

For my practice, I find its constrained documentation capabilities for respiratory therapists and the fact that other clinicians can't really use it limit its usefulness overall.

In my experience, there's no straightforward way to view a clinical entry as a cohesive narrative, which often left me unsure whether I'd missed a section or inadvertently duplicated information because I couldn't determine the most appropriate field for certain notes and on top of that the software offers no functionality for scheduling patients.
