Big Board: A Favorite Tool for Doctors in Managing Patient Progress and Information

It's a huge relief to know that we have Big Board in our toolbox. It makes a doctor’s job so much easier. I still count it as my absolute favorite. It helps me keep families informed of the patient's progress throughout their stay. This has actively reduced the number of queries our front-desk staff and doctors have to answer. Our patients appreciate that they can disclose their medical history whenever they feel comfortable. Passport gives them enough time to gather information and modify or remove entered data before submitting. It is relatively simple to use and requires no technical knowledge.

It does not provide an easy way for our customers to contact us in case they need assistance. This is especially true for older patients. I would appreciate it if I could see exactly where a person is stuck without them trying to explain it to me. Adding medication to the portal is also a bit difficult. The options presented to patients do not always apply to the medication, but they must select one of them or the medication will not be accepted.

A Convenient Patient Coordination Tool Hindered by Inefficient Data Management

OM passport is very simple, especially considering how approachable the customer support is if we run into any problems. I find it very convenient to have everything coordinated ahead of time which I can accomplish with pre-op calls, text messages, and emailing patients about their appointments. It also gives me easy access to patients' information who have already visited so that I can have everything ready once they come for their repeat visit.

It is not great with data management and most of the entries are duplicated or difficult to locate. For example, if I have to search for a patient’s profile from the Advantex booking, a name might appear but it would not have any medical passport associated with it. But I know that I added a passport for them so I will do another search, only to find two entries now, one with a passport and one without. This all creates so much confusion for no apparent reason and frustrates me to the core.
